About Us

Scouts of Ukraine - is a youth organization that promotes the comprehensive development of young people through Scouting. We are the only official members of World Scouting in Ukraine.

Our history

National Organization of Scouts of Ukraine (NOSU) was founded in 2007. At the 38th international Scout Conference in 2008, NOSU became a rightful member of The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM)
Mission

Our mission is to enhance the development of Ukrainian youth through the value system based on the Scout Promise and the Scout Law. Through Scouting, we create a better world where people can fulfil themselves as members of the community.
Programme

National Youth Programme is the basis of Scouting. This is a carefully designed, practical educational plan for children and young people, aimed at the full realization and development of the personality.
The Scout Method

The Scout Method is an essential and unique system for progressive self-education. It applies various elements that support Scouting’s purpose and Principles, and creates a cohesive and balanced system for young people to experience the true potential of Scouting in a safe environment.

Our events

Camps

Camps give children the opportunity to develop their interests and hobbies and to put into practice the knowledge and skills they have learnt throughout the year in Scouting.
International events

Participation in international trips gives Scouts the opportunity to explore the world around them, including the rich diversity of cultures, languages and countries.
Training

They are designed for Scouts and Scout leaders at various stages of their Scouting journey to meet the needs and interests of members of different age.
Online events

NOSU is flexible in using different formats when working with Scouts. This allows them to participate not only in interactive workshops and training sessions, but also in international events while physically staying in Ukraine.

About Scouting

For me, Scouting is a place where everything is exciting: I make new friends, play active games, learn new things, travel, and participate in camps. I’ve also started learning English more diligently because it’s needed for international events. Being a Scout is inspiring!

I head to my Scout group with a smile on my face, knowing they've been waiting. There's a common stereotype: 'Scouting is just for kids', but my experience has taught me invaluable lessons that neither school, university nor work can provide. I also feel that I'm helping to shape the future of Ukraine - something that's incredibly important right now. I hope that more people will realise the value of this mission and join us.
